ASHRAE Society President Farooq Mehboob visited us in early 2023
The Presidential Address was titled Securing Our Future by Farooq Mehboob. During his visit he did a presentation at Florida International University and University of Miami Student Chapters. In addition to the Society President, our Region XII DRC (Director and Regional Chair), John Constantine was present to introduce himself to the students and answer questions.

Chapter Awards
In June 2023 we did a recognition to Past Presidents of the Chapter. They were honored during the meeting as we appreciate their past service and commitment to the Chapter. We gave Alfredo Sotolongo, Sr. an award for his decades-long commitment to the Chapter.
Monthly Technical Meetings
We typically meet once a month, the meeting location is announced in our monthly newsletter. For special meetings, the date/time and venue is also announced via e-mail. Most of our meetings have technical presentations which provide PDH points towards the PE license.
The meetings take place every month, except the months of June, July and August each year.
Holiday Social
Every December we host a Holiday Event. Most of the time it is hosted at a trendy local bar, rooftop, and even top golf. The Event is totally free for our members. During this event we gather sponsorships from local companies. This sponsorship gives companies the amazing opportunity to support our local organization RP, network with other members of the HVAC community, and have some fun with some of the key players in our industry.
Golf Tournament
We have an annual golf tournament around April-May every year. ASHRAE Miami Golf tournament is our most important source of funds for RP.
This event is only possible because of our sponsors.
Sponsorship of the Annual ASHRAE fundraising event gives our sponsors an opportunity to support the organization and, at the same time, have some fun with some of the movers and shakers in the Industry.
Special Meeting
We host special meetings upon requests and availability of speakers. Sometimes these meetings are focused in interesting trending topics like COVID-19. We also host some of these meetings for our Student Members.
